Very Hempy Cherry Green Smoothie Recipe

As the Summer Olympics come to a close, I am praising Natalie Coughlin’s Recovery Smoothie, adding my own green flair to make it extra delicious & nutritious.
Adding Powerful Ingredients including Kale & Hemp Protein from The Good Seed Hemp Company really up the quality of this smoothie recipe. Make sure you add the Kale & Hemp to the blender FIRST, along with the Chia seeds, Nut Butter and Sprouted Almond Mylk and blend on medium-high for about a minute. This helps break-down the rough & tough Kale leaves and makes for a creamier base.
The hemp really creates a beautiful creamy consistency to the smoothie. The amount of hemp you add decides the viscosity of this smoothie. I prefer mine to be rather thin, so I only add 1 TBSP, but if you want a meaty, thick smoothie with extra protein, feel free to add more!
1 cup Sprouted Almond Mylk
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 Kale Leaf
1 TBSP Hemp Protein (or more if you so choose!)
1/2 banana, frozen
1 cup dark cherries, frozen
1 tablespoon nut or seed butter
Combine the following ingredients in a blender:
- Sprouted Almond Mylk
- Chia Seeds
- Nut or Seed Butter (I chose Cashew!)
Blend on medium-high until smooth.
Add 1/2 frozen banana & cherries as you continue blending on medium-high to high. Crush the frozen fruit until you reach a consistency you are happy with.
